Doom and Gloom – Visible to me only in their absence: For a survivor of domestic violence, the accumulated and normalized adrenal fatigue one carries can cast a perpetual shadow of uncertainty, dread, and anticipation over one’s mind, heart, and mood. It’s easy to lose sight of what life can be without it.

Upon switching the CHI Sun to its second setting, I rapidly fell into a deep, dreamless sleep and woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and rested for the first time in a very long while. That morning, intrusive thoughts of doubt and doom, which had become like shadowed companions, were replaced by a vision of a spiraling beam of light rising from my crown and piercing the darkness that had shrouded my life for months, possibly years. In its sudden absence, I realized that the darkness, once so familiar and consistent, had become an integral part of my subconscious, visible to me only in its absence.

My husband had a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder. Cortosteroid injection only relieved the pain for less than three weeks and could not be repeated until three months had elapsed. Orthopedics recommend an MRI and surgery which we do not want to have done as a friend had terrible results with that surgery. He has been in continual pain; especially at night which prevented him from sleeping. The CHI Palm has provided relief from the pain and allows him to sleep.

I purchased the Equitonic 9 [Latest Version is CHI Palm] to use on horses. However, when my 51-year-old son has difficulties breathing due to advanced Parkinson’s disease, we have found that by laying the unit on his chest he begins to breathe easier. His diaphragm is compromised due to muscle atrophy, and therefore, he is unable to move mucus out of his airways well. The unit helps break up the secretions and allows him to have a productive cough and clear his airways. He now sleeps with the unit every night for comfort and better sleep.
