World-Wide Chaos Therapy
We often take our lives for granted, but not these days. Around the world, there is Chaos. We are told that, because of a virus, our lives will never be the same. We are told that soon-to-come vaccines will solve the problem, but some say if we do not get vaccinated and produce a vaccination card we will be prevented from travel. Even for an optimist, it seems hard to find a silver lining in this storm.
For 30 years CHI Institute has promoted Chaos Therapy as a way forward. So how can today’s world-wide Chaos be a good thing?
Every cell of your body is a chaotic system. Its function is largely to respond to unexpected challenges in effective ways, which often requires innovation like assessing what healing is needed and where, and maybe developing a whole new kind of antibodies to fight off a virus or bacteria. A tenet of Chaos theory is that, as the energy in a chaotic system increases, at some point it makes an abrupt transition to a higher, simpler state of organization.
This applies to all chaotic systems, whether cells, people, the weather, or humanity as a whole. With all the Chaos, we can expect an abrupt transition of some sort in our world governance. I claim that, while the abrupt transition is inevitable, the resulting higher state of organization cannot be known until it crystallizes in front of us. The outcome is determined by the choices made by each individual. One person standing up against social injustice or corruption can result in a crystallization of the new, emerging higher state of order.
While many local leaders are pushing for increased lockdowns and the global leaders push for a government shaped around fighting climate change, some seem to be pushing for some brand of constitutional nationalism and the central banks are preparing for “the Great Reset”. What will really happen? We don’t know. Yet Chaos theory tells us that every one of us is contributing to the result through choices we make or avoid every day.
Choosing to remain in fear means that you stop making choices. This allows one of the above influencers to “shape” the Chaos and push more effectively for their chosen result. Chaos theory requires two ingredients: First we need a crisis like an infection, a broken bone, a pandemic, or a hopelessly confused election. Second there is, in scientific terms, a “strange attractor” around which the new organization coalesces. In human terms, in the case of an illness, the strange attractor is your intention and the combined intentions of those around you. In the case of building world-wide Chaos, it is the collective intention of all humanity.
Whatever you intend influences the outcome you will experience. Each of us has different intentions and will experience different outcomes depending on our intention. Whether or not this pandemic, election Chaos, or battle for control has a silver lining in your life depends largely on you.
