Shen: Cultivating the Light

So much Love. Earth is rich with Love. Revel in the Love. The Joy. The Peace. So much Love. Fill it with your Life, your Spirit. Feel how it is shifting, growing, expanding. It is only the rhetoric, the claim that we are victims that holds us captive.

Nobody will be rescued from their own fear, rage, hatred, shame, or judgment. However, they will always be able to surrender to the Loving Light. We all have free will so we can choose to tune into anger, guilt, and judgment.

Even when we find the peace, there will always be new opportunities to dive again into darkness. This is the opportunity on Earth: To choose between darkness and light. Not to choose whether Earth is filled with darkness or Light, but whether our thoughts and emotions are filled with darkness or Light.

Darkness is like a fire hose which can quickly sweep our Qi, our emotions, into turmoil. Also, it is easy for us to direct the firehose of judgment and punishment in an instant. Shen is the Light that calms the turbulent Qi into a calm, clear lake, easy to relax into. Others may try to disturb your lake with turbulence, but it is your lake, your choice. How will you respond? After being hit by a fire hose, you can choose whether to fire back or to breathe and wait for the clarity and tranquility to return.

We are on Earth to embraces the challenge of choosing Light over darkness, peace over conflict. This is true of all who are on Earth today.

You can’t influence the choices that others make with either the fire hose or the calm lake. They are forever the creators of their own inner terrain. So, relax and be not concerned how your choices might affect others. Cultivate your own Jing, Qi, and Shen. Take full responsibility for your own life.

Know that wielding the fire hose will draw fire hose wielders to you and repel those who seek the clear, tranquil lake. In this way, each of us not only chooses our inner terrain but also the community that surrounds us. Would you rather have a community of fire hoses? Or a community of Loving Peace?
